This auditorium design concept was proposed to ULAB. We tried to create the palette using Ulab’s brand color and selected sustainable and long-lasting materials.
Design Concept of the auditorium
Seating and Layout:
- Ergonomic black chairs are arranged in rows, ensuring comfort during long sessions.
- A central aisle for easy access leads directly to the stage.
- A second level with a glass railing provides additional seating and a panoramic view of the stage.
Stage Design:
- Wood paneling on the sides adds warmth and elegance.
- The ULAB logo is centrally placed and backlit, serving as the auditorium’s visual anchor.
- Advanced lighting with spotlights and ambient fixtures to accommodate different events.
Acoustic Design:
- Acoustic panels on the ceiling to control sound quality and reduce echo.
- Geometric patterns on the walls serve both aesthetic and acoustic functions.
- A balance between sound absorption and reflection is crucial for clarity.
Lighting:
- Recessed ceiling lights for general illumination, complemented by aisle LED strips for safety.
- Spotlights focus attention on the stage, enhancing the experience for the audience and performers.
Materials and Finishes:
- High-quality materials like hardwood for durability and a premium feel.
- Modern finishes on the stage, incorporating reflective surfaces for a sleek look.
Technology Integration:
- Cutting-edge AV equipment for seamless presentations and performances.
- Connectivity features like Wi-Fi and power outlets at each seat for convenience.
Accessibility:
- Compliance with accessibility standards, including ramps and designated seating areas for inclusivity.
